Our vision for Oxford Proud Voices

Oxford Proud Voices is your queer community choir in Oxford.

It is open to everyone aged 18 and over: whether you have been singing for years or are new to singing, whether you read music or not; how ever you choose to identify your gender, sexuality or self.

All we ask is that you respect this as a queer, safe space and support our values, including inclusion, respect, and active promotion of human and queer rights.

Come sing for equality, solidarity and joy!

Global Queer Choir Community

Oxford Proud Voices are proud to be a part of the global family of LGBTQIA+ choirs. We have a list of resources to help you find an LGBTQIA+ choir near you.

Running of the choir

Our constitution sets out how the choir is governed and organised. You can also read our policies on safeguarding, payment, and privacy / data protection.

Agendas and minutes of committee meetings are in our members area - see the pinned message in our WhatsApp group for access (if you’re not in the group, ask someone at a rehearsal to add you).

If you’d like to help in some way, please talk to any committee member or see our contact us page for more details.

The more the merrier

Finally, please do encourage everyone you know to join the choir. Please share via social media and every other way you can think of!
