Our vision for Oxford Proud Voices
Oxford Proud Voices is your queer community choir in Oxford.
It is open to everyone: whether you have been singing for years or are new to singing, whether you read music or not; how ever you choose to identify your gender, sexuality or self.
All we ask is that you respect this as a queer, safe space and support our values, including inclusion, respect, and active promotion of human and queer rights.
Come sing for joy, equality and solidarity!

Come to our next rehearsal
Tuesday 1st October, 6:45pm for a 7pm start, finishing at 9:15pm, with a break in the middle.
Last rehearsal of term: Tuesday 10th December. No rehearsal on 29th October.Venue: Friends Meeting House, 43 St Giles, OX1 3LW
This is the Quaker building on St Giles in central Oxford. The hall is a beautiful space, surrounded by gardens. It has step-free access, is wheelchair accessible and has gender-neutral and accessible toilets. We may occasionally need to use other accessible venues in central Oxford.Musical Director: We are thrilled to have Philip Read as our first musical director; you can read more about him at philipread.net.
Subscriptions per rehearsal: £10 standard, £5 low income / unwaged / students / others
If you can’t afford to pay anything, or if you feel you can pay more to help others, please let us know — we don’t want money to be barrier to creating a wonderful queer singing community.How to join: just show up. New singers are welcome at any rehearsal.
